Seattle 5 Bridges Paddling Tour

Join us for this inner city water skills tour paddling from near the Ballard Locks to the Arboretum.  

We’ll pass under 5 historic bridges and see houseboats, anchored ships, fishing boats and epic city views.

You’ll see:

  • Space Needle and city skyline
  • Fishermen’s Terminal
  • Ballard, Fremont, I-5, University and Montlake Bridges
  • Paddle from Ballard through the Fremont Ship Canal to Lake Union, thru Portage Bay and the Montlake Cut
  • Sea planes taking off and landing in summer months
  • Gas Works Park, Ivars Salmon House, Chilhuly’s Glass Studio, Pocock Rowing House


Spring – Summer


Open to SUP, surf ski, kayak.

  • Kayaks 13′
  • Must know how to swim
  • Required to wear your vest or waist belt (SUP) life jacket.
  • Leashes required for SUPs
  • Dress for air and water temp
  • Recommend a reliable re-mount.  Take our Kayak Rescues class to practice. 


Put-In – 28th Street end near the Nordic Museum

PARKING – A few spots by the put-in and others behind the railroad tracks
