Personal Monthly Training

With my Personal Monthly Training program whether you’re an absolute beginner or an experienced paddler, I’ll will work with you to meet your goals by creating a personalized training program.

We will create a comprehensive series of lessons so you will build new skills and achieve your next level as a paddler whether you want to paddle casually, surf, race, downwind or tour Puget Sound and beyond.

This program will help you achieve your goals as a paddler now – not someday.

Also receive a complimentary copy of my book “Kayaking Puget Sound, the San Juans and Gulf Islands, 60 Trips.”

All equipment are included in your sessions. You’re welcome to bring your own gear as well. Learning on your gear is recommended so you get to know it better.

After your program, I’ll follow-up to review what you learned, provide paddling resources and discuss your path forward as a paddler.

Rates work out to 3 three hour lessons a week. Number and duration of sessions will vary depending on your goals. For example, surfing, Deception Pass trips and overnight trips  will be longer individual lessons.

You’re welcome to add additional months of training to continue your journey.

Rates:

“I took the several lessons and it is a positive life changing experience, the knowledge of the instructors is both deep and wide, they are resourceful, patient, and not only great watermen professionals but also great teachers and guides. Taking a lesson with them is a must, without regard of your level. You will get also nice pics to show off..”

“Great experience! I was a little hesitant to do one on one coaching with Rob due to the cost difference in the group sessions (which I would still like to do, particularly around Deception Pass) but there really is no substitute for the amount of attention & coaching you get in a one on one class. I did a downwind and just kind of “all around” SUP class with Rob in the Puget Sound and I had so much fun. I learned a bunch of new techniques and he improved on what I thought I already knew. He has an alumni FB group for his students and said I can hit him at any time for more advice.Great value for money, I would do that class again in a heartbeat. Thanks Rob!”

“I took the SUP Basics 2 Course after corresponding with Rob Casey about my goals and experience with SUP. Having all of this amazing water to explore in my back yard, it is important to me that I do it safely. I rode home after the session- even more excited bout this sport than before. I was amazed how much we covered in our first session and I can’t wait to continue to take more lessons and classes from Salmon Bay Paddle. I drove home with a deep appreciation of the work that I need to l operate safely out on the water and a clear picture of what I need to do to get to my goals thanks to the recourses, experience gained in the session and his patient instruction. The class not only was informative but challenge me as well”

“I took the SUP 2 basics class with Rob and I’m certainly glad I did. Rob has significant experience paddling our local waterways so I also learned about wind, tides/currents, etiquette, gear/apparel, motor boat behavior, and safety. Rob’s style is friendly but serious, patient, and fun. In addition to SUP 2 basics, Rob even included some freighter wave surfing! I recommend taking this course whether you’re new to paddling like me or already great at it, you’ll definitely expand your knowledge, skills, and confidencel”
