Four Mile Rock Tour
Covid-19 Notice – In the current Phase 1 and 2, tours are only available for 1-4 people from the same household.
For the Four Mile Rock tour, we’ll launch from the 32nd Ave West road-end in the Magnolia neighborhood and paddle west past beach-only access cabins.
Continuing, we’ll paddle below the 200′ Magnolia bluff past both natural areas and waterfront homes.
Four Mile Rock is a large erratic boulder left over from the Ice Age.
Beyond Four Mile Rock we’ll see the West Point Lighthouse and Discovery Park in the distance. Across the Sound, the Olympic Mountains will appear above Bainbridge Island.
Alternatively, we can paddle into Elliott Bay Marina and Smith Cove.
You may see harbor seals, bald eagles, marine life below our feet and views of downtown Seattle, Mt Rainier, Blake Island and Vashon Island.
Tour includes SUP instruction
Learn how to stand up, turn, paddle in control, paddle in bumps and if needed fall safely and get back on easily.
“I’ve had many SUP, surfing (and beyond) lessons world-wide but I haven’t found an expert in the area that compares to Rob’s level of quality experience, competency and teaching skills. Rob emphasizes safety first and caters to each individuals personal learning style in delivering quality instruction to paddlers of all levels. He truly went above and beyond and has set the bar extremely high for a business model that I hope to mirror. I will definitely return to him for further training.”
