Hobuck Beach Resort
CLOSED in 2020 FOR COVID-19
Hobuck Beach is 5 hours from Seattle at the NW corner of the state. From Seattle you can take the Kingston or Bainbridge ferries or the Narrows Bridge to cross over. Make sure to arrive early for ferries as summer traffic can have long lines. Use the WSDOT site to look up ferry schedules, ferry arrival and loading status. WSDOT has an app which can be helpful.
**Once in Neah Bay, which is on Makah Indian Reservation, buy a Recreation Pass required for non-reservation members. You can buy one at the beach resort. The Makah rez is dry, so bring our own alcohol. There are stores there but best to bring all you own camping gear and food from home.
You can camp or get a cabin at Hobuck Beach Resort. Call asap for cabin availability. There are limited other lodging options in Neah Bay.
DIRECTIONS TO HOBUCK BEACH RESORT — Getting from Port Angeles to Hobuck:
Highway 101 – Take you past Lake Crescent which is pretty but can be long. Then take Hwy 113 to Sekiu, then Neah Bay.
Highway 101 to Highway 112 outside or Port Angeles. This one is my preference as it skirts along the Strait of Juan de Fuca past other surfing beaches. It is windy, but a few minutes shorter than the lake route.
