Join us March 16 at Alderbrook Resort on beautiful Hood Canal for the St Paddles Day Race, an annual super fun event for paddlers and rowers hosted by the resort and Salmon Bay Paddle. 

Open to paddle boarders, sea kayaks, surf skis, outriggers, prone and rowers.

Sign up for the 3 or 6 mile course and enjoy onshore festivities such as live music, vendors and an outdoor bar with chowder and chili.

This is the only PNW race with a glass enclosed hot tub, steam room and pool at the finish line!

Long Course: (approximately 6 miles)
Cross open water and could face strong winds and current in both directions of the crossing. Resort to Hood Canal Marina, Tahuya River mouth to buoy and return. 

Short Course: (approximately 3 miles)
Stay along one shoreline from the resort to Hood Canal Marina and return to resort. Possibly facing wind and current in both directions.

  • 9:00-10:30AM: Registration and check in
  • 10:30AM: Safety Meeting for all participants, mandatory.
  • 11:00AM: Long Course start, muster 10:45
  • 11:15AM: Short Course start, muster 11:00AM
  • 2:00PM: Course Sweep
  • 2:30PM: Awards and Grand prize drawing

When you Arrive:

– Unload your equipment on the grass area by the waterfront cabins below. Inquire at resort front desk. 

– Park in main lot above.  Check-in with our registration table along the waterfront side of the resort (walk through building or around).
